CECJ EVENT FORMATS

WE HAVE CREATED THE MOST EFFECTIVE FORMATS OF LEARNING AND NETWORKING

Every specialist interested in practically-oriented professional upgrade will find a CECJ event format that suits their needs best

The CECJ Seminar format proposes a focussed course on a given country-specific area of law (including tax, criminal, family, commercial, inheritance, migration law, etc). The topics are taught by lawyers practicing in that jurisdiction. The CECJ Seminars offer vast networking opportunities that start during the main programme of lectures and workshops and continue during coffee breaks, at lunches and at a general buffet that may take place in bar associations, chambers or law firms. Seminars are supplemented by the CECJ Speed Legal Networking with the participation of local legal community, attending the court session and meeting with a judge. CECJ seminars are often attended not only by lawyers, but also tax consultants, realtors, bankers from a given country. The CECJ Seminar format is designed for 50-100 attendees, which makes it an ideal option

The CECJ Conference format is an event dedicated to one area of law in an international context. International speakers from 10 to 30 countries (depending on the programme) deliver selected lectures on their jurisdiction, following a harmonised template. Such a structure allows our attendees to learn the most important and relevant aspects within the framework of one topic, to make a comparative legal analysis in an international context, as well as to keep abreast of the latest changes in the legislation of different countries, bilateral agreements, new rules and procedures, and practical country-specific risks. Attendees of the CECJ conference may have to prepare a home assignment for in-group practice sessions. Activities can also include case studies and mock trials that simulate real court cases in an international context; and this helps our attendees to put into practice their new skills at once. The CECJ Conference format envisages 100-200 participants, and offers a comprehensive view on a legal macro-topic from an international perspective. This is an ideal format for those professionals who want to keep abreast of the international situation in their industry and expand their professional network

The CECJ Forum format is a 200-attendee event aimed to foster experience exchange and discussions on specific legal aspects in the operation of various international organizations. The CECJ Thematic Forums are held in The Hague, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Geneva, Lausanne and Lyon. Depending on the internal rules of the international organization, the CECJ Forum can be held both in the conference halls of the organizations, and at other large venues in the respective cities. The speakers include the staff of international and European organizations with unique knowledge and expertise. Building a dialogue with such high-profile specialists allows our attendees to understand the rules and procedures of these organizations in more detail, to obtain practical information and recommendations from primary sources, and to apply the provisions of international conventions and agreements at the national level in an effective way, thus contributing to the development of the rule of law in general.

The CECJ Congress format is the annual CECJ event with 500+ attendees. It covers a vast variety of jurisdictions and legal issues. At the CECJ Congress, a variety of issues are discussed in a comparative legal vein, so the programme includes expanded panel discussions with moderators and speakers with expertise ranging from law to business and international organizations. This approach makes it possible to determine current trends and ways of solving the most complex issues, and it allows our attendees to feel part of the international legal community.

The event attendees communicate not only during the work programme, but also withing special interest groups (SIGs), round tables, joint dinners and buffets. The CECJ Congress allows numerous legal professionals to stay abreast of the latest legal trends and to establish unique opportunities for new business contacts with colleagues from all over the world at the same time and place
