CECJ SIGNATURE PROJECT

We adapt every event to a specific country and its national law or to a specific area of international law, including visits to relevant international organizations at their headquarters

The speakers include the staff of international and European organizations with unique knowledge and expertise. Building a dialogue with such high-profile specialists allows our attendees to understand the rules and procedures of these organizations in more detail, to obtain practical information and recommendations from primary sources, and to apply the provisions of international conventions and agreements at the national level in an effective way, thus contributing to the development of the rule of law in general. This is an ideal format for those professionals who want to keep abreast of the international situation in their industry and expand their professional network

Country-specific area of law

The CECJ events propose a focussed course on a given country-specific area of law

Such a structure allows our attendees to make a comparative legal analysis in an international context, as well as to keep abreast of the latest changes in the legislation of different countries, bilateral agreements, new rules and procedures, and practical country-specific risks. The topics are taught by lawyers practicing in that jurisdiction. Attendees may have to prepare a home assignment for in-group practice sessions. Activities can also include case studies and mock trials that simulate real court cases in an international context; and this helps our attendees to put into practice their new skills at once. These events are supplemented by the CECJ Speed Legal Networking with the participation of local legal community, attending the court session and meeting with a judge

THE TOPICS ARE SELECTED BASED ON
THE ANALYSIS OF NEEDS OF CLIENTS

SOMETIMES WITH A FOCUS ON CLIENTS COMING FROM THE POST-SOVIET COUNTRIES,
WHO HAVE BUSINESS INTERESTS ABROAD

Most clients from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries prefer to solve their issues with the help of trusted lawyers in their country, and this translates into two distinct categories of participants in our seminars. The first category is represented by the aforementioned local lawyers from the CIS countries who know that at the CECJ events they will receive answers to their questions, will be able to determime the best case-specific strategy, choose the right jurisdiction for future projects, find foreign partners with multiple specialisms as to provide their clients with a quality solution. The second category is represented by legal professionals from the EU countries, Great Britain, Switzerland, USA, UAE, etc., who know that they will get access to comparative legal analysis within the framework of the stated topic and will establish new professional contacts for possible further cooperation with foreign colleagues including trusted lawyers from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries
